Good user experience goes beyond the website.

The Belgian representative for the Iphone seems to offer a “pay per month” formula to business clients. If you arrive on the website and choose ‘Business’ – ‘Sole trader’ – ‘Iphone 3G S’ you get the opportunity to discover the new Iphone.

Since spreading costs is an interesting offer for a starting business, so we head to the shop to buy a new Iphone and pay the monthly fee. In the shop we were told that the “pay per month” formula was only available for private persons since they didn’t have any field in their computer system to enter business details. When we referred to the information on the website we were told that was just info on the website but they couldn’t offer that service in the shop.

If you create an expectation with the user on your website make sure you can realize these expectations in real life. The user experience of your products and company often starts at the website but goes on to the real world.
